MEET DR. HUME JOHNSON
Brand-Centered Leadership Coach
Dr. Hume Johnson is a dynamic leadership coach, personal branding strategist and associate professor of communication at Roger Williams University.
Hume began her career as a broadcast journalist with Jamaica's Information Service (JISTV), and served as a political speechwriter for the Government of Jamaica. She previously taught journalism at James Cook University, Australia. Today, she helps professionals—from emerging leaders to seasoned executives—clarify their personal brand, confidently articulate their value, and advance their careers.
With a Ph.D. in Political Science, and 20+ years of experience across journalism, political speechwriting, and academia, Hume brings a bold, practical approach to leadership development and strategic communication through tools such as the
H.U.M.E Method.
Hume is the author of three books, including the acclaimed Brand YOU!: Reinvent Yourself and Redefine Your Future, a guide used in MBA programs - and her expertise has been featured on BBC, WPRI12/CBS Providence, Al Jazeera, Entrepreneur, Television Jamaica, and more.
